Radiology Tech (PRN)

Department: Cherry Hill ASC
Location: Cherry Hill, NJ

Under general direction, provides direct patient care to practice patients in the Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) setting. Responsibilities include entering patient intake and provider orders into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), requesting medical records, utilizing the pharmacy drug monitoring program as directed by providers, recording vital signs and medical history, collecting patient information, and facilitating patient flow. Complies with measures to assure that patient/customer satisfaction results are consistently maintained. Trains other Radiology Techs and Procedure Care Tech staff on fluoroscopy responsibilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of general fluoroscopy experience.
  • Must possess current fluoroscopic certification/license.
  • Must have knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public.
  • Must be able to work individually as well as within a team.
  • Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must be able to respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health and emergent situations.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Must have working knowledge of all equipment and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate extreme attention to detail.
  • Must possess strong organization skills.
  • Must be able to problem solve and use reasoning.
  • Must be able to meet predefined quality standards.
  • Must maintain and project a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the healthcare field and medical specialty, as well as medical terminology.
  • Must provide proof of influenza vaccination annually.
  • Must complete two (2)-step PPD (NE staff) OR must complete an annual PPD (SE staff)
  • Must complete all regulatory competencies prior to beginning work in the ASC.

  • Within first ninety (90) days of employment as a Procedure Care Tech, must complete C-arm competencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years’ prior experience working in a medical practice.
  • Two (2) years’ prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Two (2) years’ prior experience assisting in the operation of a C-Arm machine.
  • Two (2) years’ prior experience as a Radiology Tech in an Ambulatory Surgery Center/Operating Room setting.

Driving/Travel:

The employee must have reliable transportation. Travel for this position may be required up to 100%. While the primary workplace may be closest to the employee’s home, work assignments could be in any of the Company’s locations.
